The claims date back for decades, and most revolving around the same group of men. On January 1st, a large group of the industry's actresses, producers, and directors united with women's rights activists to start the conversation on  the corruption and imbalance of power not only in entertainment, but in all industries and work places.

Nina Shaw, a talent lawyer, and Tina Tchen, the former chief of staff to Michelle Obama and former director of the White House Council on Women and Girls, are top lawyers on  the legal team for Times Up. As reported by Vanity Fair, "The initiative will ultimately be housed at and administered by the National Women’s Law Center."
